Osvaldo Bins Ely - 2016

German aviation pioneer, known as the “Glider King.” In the 1890s, he completed over 2,000 glider flights, launching from cliffs. The Wright brothers cited him as one of their greatest influences in their pursuit of powered flight. On top of the plate is his quote:  "To invent an airplane is nothing. To build one is something. But to fly is everything."
