Peace Van

Peace Van
Linocut
Osvaldo Bins Ely - 2019

Hand-carved linocut of a VW bus or van. They were cheap to maintain, easy to convert as campers, and big enough to live in. In the ‘60s and ‘70s they became symbol of freedom, art, peace and antiwar movement. When I was kid we had one and it reminds my childhood. In Brazil we called Kombi.
