Linocut
Osvaldo Bins Ely - 2019
This hand-carved linocut presents
the Phonetic Alphabet which was developed during WWII and adopted for civil aviation in 1951 to help pilots identify themselves over the radio by calling out their aircraft's N number. The design also features the corresponding Morse code above each letter, a system invented in the 1830s.
